Set of multimedia resources

This formed part of the final assignment for the ‘Multimedia Design and Development’ module of my Master’s.

This multimedia kit is comprised of an animated video lecture and an interactive PowerPoint presentation.

These are meant to work together to teach the pronunciation of the regular past -ed suffix to EFL/ESL/EAL learners.

Although limited by funding, time and software access, this resource has been developed with a clear theoretical focus, utilising colour coding for classification of information, constructive feedback and a pedagogical agent for support, while complying with several of Mayer’s (2009) multimedia principles. These two components can be amended and reused to fit different audiences and purposes. However, in the eyes of the developers, the video was meant to work as a ‘pre-training’ introduction followed by a practical presentation where students can apply newly acquired skills and knowledge.

Developed in collaboration with another colleague.
